Out on the Slopes

Out On The Slopes Productions (OOSP) is a division of Trademark Event Management. OOSP was founded as a result of the first gay and lesbian ski week in Whistler Resort, now known as Altitude. The Whistler gay and lesbian ski week began in 1993 as a gathering of 200 local gay and lesbian skiers.Through word of mouth and minimal advertising, the second year saw a substantial increase, with 1,200 eager participants. By year four the event had been renamed Altitude and had gained substantial corporate sponsorship and community support. Over eleven years after its inception, Altitude has grown tremendously. The event has become truly international, annually drawing over 3,000 participants from around the world. Participants now enjoy more than 30 different events and activities, several benefiting local charities. 2003 was a tremendous growth year for Out On The Slopes as a company as we moved to our current Vancouver office location and became a year-round production company with 5 full-time staff. Adventure Summer Camp launched in 2003 as well - inviting OOSP guests to experience a unique week combined with 4 days of Whistler outdoor summer adventures and 3 days of Vancover Pride celebrations.
